Περιγραφή Μαθήματος

Το περιεχόμενο του μαθήματος αφορά στη διερεύνηση ειδικών θεμάτων θεωρίας αναφορικά με τη σύλληψη-παραγωγή-σχεδιασμό του εσωτερικού χώρου και την ερμηνεία-επαναδιαπραγμάτευση της αστικής συνθήκης και του σχεδιασμού του χώρου γενικώτερα.
Το μάθημα εστιάζεται στη διαδικασία μεταφοράς του νοήματος μεταξύ συμβολικών μορφών. Επιλέγοντας ως πειραματική αφετηρία το κείμενο, λογοτεχνικό ή δοκιμιακό, εξετάζεται η δυνατότητα μετάβασης από τη γλώσσα σε διαφορετικές εννοιολογήσεις και μεταπλάσεις του χωρικού συμβάντος. Κεντρικός άξονας της προσέγγισης αυτής είναι η αναζήτηση σχέσεων και αναλογιών μεταξύ των γλωσσικών συμβολικών αναπαραστάσεων και των αρχιτεκτονικών αντικειμένων που σχεδιάζουμε.
Η διερεύνηση της αφηγηματικότητας του χώρου εισάγει στον αρχιτεκτονικό σχεδιασμό έννοιες όπως είναι η διάδραση, η μετάβαση, η εξέλιξη, η μεταβλητότητα. Με την επεξεργασία σεναρίων προσεγγίζονται εναλλακτικές καταστάσεις με παραμέτρους μεταβλητότητας οι οποίες δυνητικά «συμβαίνουν» στο χώρο και οργανώνουν τις μορφολογίες της κίνησης, της συνεύρεσης, της συνάντησης, της κατά πρόσωπο επικοινωνίας.

The course examines the relationship between space, form, language, and representation in architectural design. It explores the two-way flow of visual, conceptual, and empirical experiences between different fields, as well as between language and space, words, and objects.Course contentThe course content focuses on researching specific theoretical issues related to the conception, production, and design of interior spaces, as well as the interpretation and renegotiation of civil contracts and space design in general. The course focuses on the process of conveying meaning through symbolic forms. Selecting the text as the experimental starting point, the study explores the potential transition from language to various interpretations and alterations of the spatial event. The central focus of this approach is the search for relationships and analogies between the linguistic symbolic representations and the architectural objects we design.Program aimsThe aim is to better understand the ability to generate meaning in the design process by drawing ideas from literature and essays. Literature is selected as an unconventional starting point for reflecting on the essence of architectural work. This process enables students to creatively utilize the conceptual weight of words and critically and consciously examine aspects of the design of architectural objects that are often taken for granted, thereby fostering analytical thinking and experimentation.Learning Outcomes: Knowledge and UnderstandingThe function, purpose, and synthetic intentions are aspects of architecture that are often examined in texts. It is within the learning objectives of the course that students can identify these ideas, "translate" them, and creatively manipulate them into diagrams. The use of diagrams as analytical tools that interact as an intermediate condition at the time of their creation allows for a concise and documented communication and expression of the ideas extracted from the texts.
